Will Petronas pull the plug in March 2016? Was Grant's prediction true?

http://powellriverpersuader.blogspot.ca/

I felt dirty posting his link…

damn now I feel dirty I went to that link, ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, he is still quoting none chief wesley LOL and saying petronas must return 27 billion in taxes to BC to make up the money BC is spending on LNG, and he is also saying the taxpayers of BC and Canada is going to have to spend billions of dollars for Petronas, after banging my head on the wall at these supposed truths I went for a deep deep deep scrub, ughhh

$27 billion dollars Petronas must return in tax revenue to British Columbia and Canada just to get back to square one

Canadian taxpayers will have to pay $billions to the proponent for inflated lng terminal build costs, with the lion’s share of the build cost occurring in South Korea or China(not money spent in Canada

Powell River must have some good weed to smoke for those claims to be made

I went to his blog too. :rage: Geesh talk about it being a soap box for the NDP, makes me wonder if he is being paid by the NDP for all his ranting.

He would be talking about the Leap Manifesto all day.

If Grant is the same person I think he is, then he hasn’t been active elsewhere since March. That includes his facebook page. Or perhaps I’m mistaking Grant for another person named Brian Gough. Grant can you clarify? The reason I think they’re the same person is the liberal use of that ` marker instead of ’

this is a article on Woodside LNG but also helps explain why Petronas will still build on Lelu island if the Federal Government ever decides to issue the CEAA report

thanks to North Coast review for the link

I have noticed a few chartered flights from Calgary and Edmonton the last couple of weeks.

     Looks like he is right!

look up and read the link to Woodside and why they are looking to build in Canada, same criteria for them as for Petronas, they do not care about short term prices as long as they have customers and for projects that will be around for 40 years guess what it makes sense to build when material costs are much lower and building the plant’s major parts in China or India are about 30% cheaper now due to their money being alot cheaper to the US dollar, and also the borrowing rate is probably around 2% for big corporations right now.

why are they still calling Wesley a hereditary chief?

Well…as you know I wrote on August 21 2015…Petronas PNW LNG project is dead…

http://powellriverpersuader.blogspot.ca/2015/08/british-columbia-and-lngs-last-gaspa.html

many of you fine Rupertonians have doubted my research and forecasting…

Here is the latest breaking Petronas news as it pertains to PNW LNG…In a nutshell…Even if the Federal Government approves PNW LNG…Petronas will not proceed until?..Until 2024 at the earliest…meaning no exports until near 2030…or never…

A little cut n paste…

_according to a source within the company, the Malaysian oil and gas giant likely won’t make a final investment decision on Pacific NorthWest until June 2017. The facility, which would be built on Lelu Island near Prince Rupert, would process gas from Northeast B.C. for export to Asia. It is undergoing a review by the Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency, with a decision expected by mid-September. “At the earliest is June of 2017, Petronas might come out with a final investment decision (FID),” Turchanski said in an interview. “If they come out with an FID, that doesn’t mean they’re going to go to work right away. They might delay it another year, they might delay it two years, they might delay it five years.” - See more at:

You see folks…there is no LNG demand, or need at present…new supplies won’t be marketable until …my estimate…NEVER…others say 2024…

MEI; LNG Oversupply To Stretch to 2024

_The latest research by McKinsey Energy Insights (MEI) predicts the LNG oversupply could last until 2024, meaning few projects could reach financial investment decision in the next 12 to 18 months. _
The research shows the LNG supply glut is “exacerbated by the 100 million tons per annum of new export terminal capacity currently under construction in the United States and Australia.”
By 2019, MEI expects the oversupply to peak at 60 mtpa.

Anywho…Petronas has been sniffing around since 2012 in B.C…it is now 2016…Petronas at present doesn’t need more LNG to sell, they can’t sell what they have now…Gorgon plant is hummimg…Egypt is sourcing it’s own massive supply…

Look folks…technology, a massive lng glut until at least 2030…And now you have Petronas insider stating regardless of Federal decision on PNW LNG…they ain’t building for 6 years or more…and come 2022–2024…if Petronas doesn’t see a demand…if the glut still exists…renewable power…nuclear power…fire-ice power, and or even really cheap coal…did I say coal…I do believe Christy Clark is wrong about LNG displacing coal use overseas…

_Manila. The Philippines will retain coal as a core part of its electricity generation mix due to its dependability, though it will seek to boost the use of cleaner fuels and renewable energy, the country’s energy minister said on Monday (04/07). _

_The Southeast Asian nation, with a population of more than 100 million people and one of the world’s fastest growing economies, aims to double its power generation capacity by 2030 to avoid a return to the frequent blackouts suffered during the 1990s. _

_“Coal is the more dependable, the more reliable source for base load,” Energy Secretary Alfonso Cusi told his first media briefing since the administration of President Rodrigo Duterte took office last week. _

“As a developing country we cannot afford not to have coal,” added Cusi.

This Grant G who also posts on Facebook has a bug up his ass when it comes to this project. You don’t hear from him for weeks until he has found something new to Google. Until the words “THE PROJECT IS CANCELLED” I will wait and see. Funny though prep work is still going on EVERY DAY, not just there but on Digby Island and in Kitimat.

well according to the CEA report Petronas has only 2 months to clear cut Lelu island, those months are September and October, so thanks to the CEA constant delays it would seem they might not meet that deadline and would have to wait until next year to start clear cutting lelu island to get it ready for development, unless LaxKawlams approves the deal in the next month which gives them a month to get rid of Wesley from the island, it is possible to clear cut this year based on the CEA conditions but doubtful. all the naysayers will still say it is dead because of that though.

Glut glut glut glut …burp

If the companies that are thinking about shipping lng were so concerned about the rest of the world’s lng production they wouldn’t be actively prepping for the facility on Digby or in Kitimat. Work has been going on at these 2 planned facilities every day.

shhhhhhhh don’t tell them companies think long term not short term like them, it might burst their bubble
