Will Petronas pull the plug in March 2016? Was Grant's prediction true?

BTW I’m not for or against just some more facts …

Still no announcement that Petronas has called it quits.

As every day goes by, @Grant_G’s prediction is more and more wrong

Doesn’t look to good for your Petronas! I’d say Grant is right!!

Grant predicted they would pull the plug in “Early March.” It’s the middle of April now, and they haven’t pulled the plug.

I’d say it’s another prediction he got wrong.

article does not say it is doomed, they are just awaiting the CEAA approval and re-tendering the contracts which should be cheaper now

when u go from 5 Billion to 50 million It’s doomed!

actually it is 250 million per year now, and yes they already spent 5 billion on the wells, which means they probably have most of the wells they need to provide gas for the plant

it’s sort of like I spent $200,000 building a house and only need 20,000 to furnish it now, ie most of the work is done

Of course they need to slash spending , the CEO of petronas all has it on his personal bank account .

If you wrote that and were actually based in Malaysia, you’d have be arrested by now.

Notice how careful that Malaysian-based poster was in previous threads?

@Grant_G’s prediction was “Early March” – it’s almost June, and they still haven’t pulled the plug…

Jumping the gun don’t you think. Petronas does have buyers for their lng, and lets be clear it is their lng. They are Progress Energy Ltd Canada who have natural gas assets in North East BC and have drilled wells. They have spent $5 billion in North East BC. I don’t think they are going to throw in the towel yet.

BTW, Grant G haven’t been active here and his own blog lately. Think he found a new hobby, stglider should join him.

and it also looks like Lax is behind the project now considering the letter they released last week from the 9 hereditary chiefs stating Wesley is not a Hereditary Chief and has no right to speak for them and no right to be on the island.

What is the address for his blog? Maybe he made some more predictions on there and now is embarrassed.
