I guess you’re referring to me. I’m not NDP biased, I just don’t like the fact that Bill Belsey lied directly to me. I think he doesn’t deserve my vote because he lied to me.
As for the Nathan Cullen belonging to only a party of 13, you’re wrong. You need to look up facts before throwing them around.
Also, Nathan was voted as “best rookie MP” by all those non-NDP MPs. They felt that of all the MPs, he represented his riding the best.
Now if you’re going to disagree with an issue, then let’s have the issue and we’ll debate that. But to dismiss people’s opinions because you think they don’t agree with you is very George Bush, isn’t it?
The fact that the best you can come up with is “fuck the NDP!” (which I deleted) is a reflection of you, not of the NDP. It doesn’t make people want to vote against the NDP, it just lowers people’s opinion of you.
I like ‘failing parties’ that can influence a budget. I also like people who hate the NDP “because teachers like them and teachers are all stoopid.” When we get STV ballots, they’ll be too hard for those people to figure out.
Yeah, well if he’s working for oil and gas then hes not taking a very NDP like approach to this issue, as Carole James vowed early in the election campaign to keep the moratorium on oil and gas. How is that going to help anyone? and to say that everyone matters…

There’s a difference between working in a government job and working for the party.
Or do you think that all hospital employees and teachers are “working for the Liberals” too?
You should rephrase it to “Dan Miller is working for the government.” Otherwise, it’s like “WOW I JUST HEARD BOTH HONDO AND COONS ARE WORKING FOR THE LIBERALS! LOLZ!!!111!!!”[/quote]

sorry about the other two i posted you can delete those
just my two bits "I dont think it matters if theres a moratorium on oil and gass, the reason is this, when the time is right oil companies will drill, right now its just not Feasible to do it. also no one is sure how much oil is there… but if its anything like alberta they will drill. they dont have a small army of Lawyers who will put preasure on the goverment to lift it. It happens all the time.
Funny, I personally talked to Jack Layton on the issue about 2 months back and he said that his research shows it’s unsafe to drill up around you guys due to the seismic activity on the ocean floor.
well any politician is going to twist research the way they want it, and if the moratorium isn’t lifted then it isnt even possible to do research such as sonar scanning and exploratory drilling.
you are right and thats why its not going to be today or the next 10 years as the technolgy is not there to do it safe. but when it is safe to do it they will drill.
but the thing about the seismic activity does sound fishy couse is there not drilling around Japan waters ? I thought there was could be mistaken.
Japanese waters is just that… Japanese waters, not Canadian waters. Possibly they just don’t want to risk the loss of the people or rigs if there is an incident, not to mention the oil that will be polluting the ocean. I am not saying I agree with Jack, I am just saying that there is seismic activity there. Don’t forget, at the rate of todays economy, that oil will be drilled eventually, maybe he just wants to save it till its work 10 bucks a barrel
Strong labour ties eh… and whats wrong with that? I thought the government was supposed to be looking after the people? and arnt most people just your average working person? Oh my we wouldnt want a government who does stuff for people instead of large business…
Not everyone belongs to a union, wether or not they are the average working person, and if the NDP ever hopes to become the leading party in the province again, they’re going to have to get rid of those ties.
So apparently Mr. belsey was not at our school debate because he was not informed of the time or place of the event, along with the fact that he was out of town.
