I’m liking 2004 and running it on two laptops. Thankfully I’m not experiencing any glitches that I’ve read about.
If there is a way to permanently disable ‘settings’ app in Win 10, let me know. I typically just run Control Panel. Call me old school but I find ‘settings’ is complete trash.
?? Pretty simple to use Settings. Actually more on hand. But I had to stop typing in Control Panel out of habit.
Not that anything works any better or any troubleshooters ever fucking work, it’s still Windoze…
After using Linux for 18 years I find myself interested in Windows again. You’re right, it’s still Windoze. Shit fails. I prefer Linux and run that on most machines (Slackware and Debian). I maintain 2 Windows 10 Pro laptops.
I can never find anything in Windows 10. My muscle memory won’t let me. I either run it from the command line, or just press the windows button and start typing.
I miss the simplicity of my old Amiga. Ran that for 6 years and learned and produced 10X as much as with 25 years of Windows.
And my head didn’t hurt doing so…
GURU MEDITATION ERROR - crash - start from scratch instead of Troubleshoot - watch spinning circle for 3 hours - “See your system administrator”
Windows 10 v2004 and still use CTRL-ALT-DEL as much as with 3.1
1,000 apologies. Had a sound issue on a new install so I ran the Troubleshooter as I was taking a break to use the can anyway.
It worked!!!
First time ever I’ve seen it work.
Updated to the October 2020 20H2 version. It was a small download and everything works as expected on my Win 10 Pro units.
Set up 2 office and 3 order machines yesterday, local business that finally updated from Windows XP.
