It was twice, and I believe it was the same day.
To think Peter did it when men were men and punks were nervous
That house has been used to party in since those renters moved in. All their neighbors have been fed up for quite some time.
know how that feels, we have one of those near us as well
I think the riot act has been read twice here. And only a select few times in canada. Rupert has always been rowdy. I don’t think those kids would have understood marshall law for some reason. And from what I heard from the way the cops dealt with it, it wasn’t far from what would have happened if the riot act had been read anyways.
I don’t believe back when the riot act was read, it was ever as violent as it was last night though.
kinda got the gist of the neighbours being fed up… but really… this just happened last night and theres already threee pages on it, do people have anything better to do? it just got way outta control, the cops were LET in to get people out. nobody knows the real info just go on what was seeen… or said cause rumors in rupert are ALWAYS TRUE.
The original Riot Act has been read twice in Canada and once was in 1958 here but the term has become a common phrase in our lingo “read the riot act” meaning severe punishment. I believe the RCMP must read the Act itself before it can be enforced and if not complied, those offenders can face more than 2 years to life imprisonment. Yeah, I can see that happening in Rupert
Crazy stuff. everyone was just mad cuz i left lolz
Try and play it down if you want, things didn’t “JUST get outta control” and no one’s making blind accusations or rumours here yet ( if you even bothered to read the last three pages up to now). This is a forum full of people concerned with their community, If you can you think of anything better to do than talk about what is happening in your community please enlighten us.
Stay classy northern folks.
Thank god those low-life juveniles didn’t go as far as torching cop cars on fire, just like those anarchists in Montreal and in some French cities does these days.
Things too numerous to mention.
This is your first post on HTMF and you are being critical of regular members. Hmmm…not the best first impression.
i heard the renter’s name is hailey pierce don’t know if it’s true but that’s the word out right now
Okay. Please remember that you are responsible for what you write here. If you mention someone by name anyone can read your comments. You are not completely anonymous here.
no riot starts without good reason… its not as if “those low-life juveniles” just went crazy and started rebelling for no reason at all. People are always so quick to point the finger at the young people without knowing any of the details. There was obvious police brutality taking place and excessive force BEFORE any of “those low-life juveniles” took any action. If the police weren’t power tripping like ALWAYS none of this would have happened. If they had simply arrested whoever they wanted to arrest opposed to attacking them there would have been no reason for anyone to be upset. However that wasn’t the case and when the “low-life juveniles” saw the police abusing their power they had finally had enough and made a stand. Police officers have no consequences for their actions. They will never be charged for using excessive force because society views them as always being right. They have absolute power, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Don’t be so quick to blame “those low-life juveniles”. And don’t make it seem like they were going after civilians or anything. It’s not as if they were going into houses and attacking people. There’s no reason to be concerned for your fellow society members cause these people weren’t animals they weren’t attacking or hurting random people. They were simply tired of being mistreated.
Sorry block of text guy, but if the cops tell you that the party is over and its time to leave, it’s generally recommended that you do so, otherwise you end up caught up in the cycle of events that appear to have transpired. Seemingly drunken mobs rarely are the best examples to use as an oppressed group or a victim association.
And you say that they weren’t hurting random people, well what about the poor folks that live on that block and had to put up with all that crap, maybe those involved should take some responsibility for their actions. Not to mention the parents who apparently have no idea what their kids are up to at two in the morning
I agree!
I would PAY to have the IP of that one!
Confirmation on facebook that Hailey Pierce is the name associated with the party.
It was her going away party. Who has youtube video and photos?
…
I have been asked to remove my facebook posts, sorry if I broke any rules.
maybe its the numerous parties that neighbors have complained about that brought the police out. Perhaps the drunks just didn’t listen because they thought they were better or higher than the law, when there is a matter like a large party where the police become involved, you obey the wishes of the police. The police are here to help keep our streets safe, if you disobey the police you are breaking the law. When alcohol is involved things get messy and its the job of the police to get it under control. maybe you need some growing up to do instead of laying blame on police. a party doesn’t need a house totally filled to have a fun night. i was a teenager once too but in victoria a bigger city but we never smashed car windows or had police presence like this party sounds like it did lol.we knew when to stop drinking and go home. if a party was broken up at one place most went home and sobered up.
