It’s a bit slow today

Ha-ha, I feel your pain.  :imp:

Don’t know about where you live but a 56K frame relay was $900 a month in 1998.
A dialup (max 56 down 28 up) was $40 a month.
The entire cable network in 1999 Vanderhoof shared 1/3 of a T1 (512-512)

I call bullshit.

I’ve had the same DSL line for about 10 years now.  Prince Rupert.

Citytel introduced ADSL back in 1998.  It was a real leader back then.

I’m pretty sure that was an April Fool’s joke.

You were. I don;t think Telus rolled out DSL in Prince George until about 2000…

o well everyday is april fools to citywest, after they take your money that is .

This gotta be a slow day today

globaltvbc.com/technology/Te … story.html , come on , citywest step up and do the same for Prince Rupert , give Prince Rupert  faster internet service , instead of giving the customers the run around , oh it must be your telephone lines / you get faster internet if you live closer to downtown , it’s so bogus that they give everyone shitty answers instead of giving the people what they want , which is faster internet service .  :frowning:  :frowning:  :frowning:  :frowning:

They’re doing it again

Just got fiber.  For some reason, the closest site I can find is in Okinawa, about 950 miles away. I’m hoping to run another check when the server in Tokyo shows up again.

As far as Citywest goes I’m screaming.

holy mother of pearl you must be using the net right in the city west building

I didn’t believe the first one I did was so slow and the second came even slower.

i dont get this are they not giving the same bandwidth for the price or is there some sort of un-equal throttling going on for reasons unknown.

Why doesn’t anyone indicate whether they are on dial up, DSL or cable?  I’d be interested in seeing the differences between each…

I had better result this morning at 21.07 Mb/s
