Yes, Rupert is getting pretty bad with the drugs… but we don’t offer our youth anything to do… i’m not making excuses… i totally think drug dealers should be put out to pasture and shot… but I’m not Clint Eastwood so I can’t do things like that… but it does help if we all just randomly posted home address of places WE KNOW people are buying from… so why don’t we do that… if you know an address… state so… let people know. Protect your community, not the drug dealers rights to privacy. When they started dealing drugs, they lost those rights.
Well that sounds like one real good idea but some Liberal Lawyer will say that we are enfringing on their client’s right or there will be something about the charter of rights. But shit I like that idea .
Oh yeah thats a great idea. Then of course the drug dealers move (they do tend to move around a lot) and some old granny moves into a house that is permenantly recorded on the internet as a drug house.
I know of 5 in my neighbourhood that deal drugs
How about we take pictures put them up in the post office RUPERTS MOST DANGEROUS That way when grandma moves in she won’t have a home invasion for drugs

Blame does not make the problem go away, but I think, if someone gets murdered over drugs in town, Will then the RCMP,and Our MP, And the Mayor, take full control over the effects of these IDIOTS,

Pretty much everyone I know has at least tried drugs once, the majority of them a lot more than once. And I don’t know about you guys but I am definitely not talking about Weed. We’re talking Mushrooms, Ecstasy and Coke.
Nadia is right. There is NOTHING for youth to do in town. And the sad truth is that we turn to drugs and alcohol to keep ourselves entertained. It’s not a hard thing to do. The ease with which we can them is kinda ridiculous. I could make 1 or 2 phone calls and have a bag of pretty much anything in less than an hour. And I’m not even in that scene.
Most youth grow out of it in time, but some don’t.
The thing is it’s inescapable. There are a LOT of drugs in Rupert, there always have been, and there always will be. The police arrest a dealer, like they did to a friend of a friend of mine a few weeks ago, and the next week, the next DAY he is dealing again. Because the cops don’t expect him to do that it’s even easier for hte next few days, because they dont think “he’s that stupid”. So they let their guard down. He deals until his court date.
I know of guys that have been stabbed in drug or gang fights. A friends brother was stabbed in the back, on 6th east in the middle of the night. That was just a few years ago.
It’s not going to get any better. We can hope, but it won’t. There is virtually nothing we can do. Sorry to burst the bubble.

Well I guess if nothing else, your contribution will help to ensure that anyone arrested for the next couple of weeks will be kept under observation by the police until their court date, nothing says guilty (and maybe stupid as well) better than going out and selling the stuff while you’re waiting for your court date.
As we write this we have visions of Mounties combing through their files for likely candidates…
Hey Poolguy. I would probably listen to you if you new what you were talking about - but you don’t. I know Jack personally and I know that he did a lot for the young people in this community. As far as Dan Ven goes, I knew him as well and maybe you should ask your dear old Mayor Pond why the mill didn’t real reopen under Dan.
i agree. its pretty normal for teenagers to want to see what they are all about, im sure most of the population has experimented as a teen. the problem with that though is if you are someone who has addiction or alcoholism in your family you may be waking a sleeping demon, you may actually be an addict and not know it yet. when i was a teen they didnt have all those synthetic drugs thank god, it was just weed. speaking of weed is that also on the hit list or is it just the hard drugs that we are talking about in this thread? are pot smokers the same “druggies” as the rest?
I have never seen someone smoke a joint and get in a fight , rob a store, or break into someones home or steal a car . I believe we are talking hard drugs. I would hope so .

You want drug dealing to slow down on your street? Here’s an idea, get the cops to put their seatbelt check on the drug street. What customer or supplier is going to show up? When i lived in rupert the police had 2 plain clothed members in the main station plus the whole drug section down by the waterfront. If they really wanted to slow the problem down they could. Would you put yourself out of work? neither will they.

you know something, i was going to say the same thing, but given the idiot factor i thought i wouldnt even bother. as you can see they pretty much ignored those stats, the “ive already made up my mind, dont confuse me with the facts, i need someone to focus on to avoid looking at myself”. all i have to say is “have another twinkie, tubby” …muhahaha
