Just because you are more subtle than ‘jesus’ doesn’t mean that you have to reply in kind…kiss and make up now, ya hear!
The Dollar Store just closed its Rupert Square Mall location. Carlton Cards (Rupert Square Mall) closed its doors a month or two ago. Digital Printing closed it’s doors in December as well.
It was rather silly to open the same store only in a different location in the first place ! I mean, really, how lazy are we that we can’t walk from the Mall to the Dollar Store on 3rd.? We had to have one right under our noses and though the staff were nice, the quality of the stock was shabby to say the least. The original Dollar Stores’ overstocks, I guess! I miss the Card Shop, it is a store that we could really use here but alas, it seems like a domino affect, as far as business closures go
Does anyone even go in that area of the mall anyway!!! The only time I’ve ever been in that corner was on my way to Home Hardware. The 3rd ave location is much better…I’m totally jealous of their windows
I hope the people from the mall get transferred to the main store, it would really suck if they lost their jobs
And the list goes on…
I heard McLean & Rudderham is closing too.
I guess they can’t compete with places like Staples and the Dollar Store.
oh no!! where will I buy FIMO clay now?!?! damnit I like that store
A’ight, let’s look at these one at a time.

Rain had a different menu than anywhere else in town. They changed it a few times and yes, it could be pricey but they had decent drink specials. There are two big things that Rain had that no where else in town had (or has): a kitchen that stayed open late and a venue that could serve alcohol AND have families inside. Where else can you go with your kids at 9 or 10PM to get some food after the movie or a hockey game? You got a ball team with some underage kids and you want to get something to eat and a beer or three, where do you go? Pizza Hut? Remember, even they’ve only been there for a couple years…

Adventure Tours had a lease agreement with an option to buy. When the lease was up, the purchase option was removed. That option was then given to Left Coast Glass. Yup, I’d move out too, taking my parking lot with me.

all those new stores that went into the mall last year? Write-ups in the paper? Yeah, the mall offered new tenants six months free rent. So, any business that was on the verge or thought maybe they could squeak by with a little extra off the top… there’ll be more on their way out.
That’s not good. I need art pencils all the time. I better buy a bunch. lol
Interesting … Are you SURE about that? Maybe there’s a few things you left out…
J .D. Wire and rope and a fishing tackle store are closing
The McLean And Rudderham rumour apparently has no legs, heard it wasn’t true today. so it’s a pick em
