Another Business Closing!

Yes, I do agree with you, you should “try to confince rain ownersto” to let you cook, I’m sure you would be a lot more affortable

yea that could be it eh . when the order gets screwed up bring out drinks that the table doesnt like that’ll fix it  :unamused:

Only a section of Adventure Tours is for sale, I think he said it was the kitsmateen (spelling) because they want to charge him a head tax on EACH person on his boat, so hes saying no and wanting to get rid of that.

I also agreed completely when I seen him tearing up the pavement. He wanted to buy the building but she was asking too much apparently and wouldn’t reimburse him for doing the paving, so up it comes. Good on him

Finally drove by uptown shoes and saw the store closing sign… guess its time I go get me some shoes

oops i bad i didn’t do spell check!!!That’s why i’m a cook was never good at short hand!!! :imp: :sunglasses:lol

Now where are the “Bar Stars” of Prince Rupert gonna “warm up”??? AWWWWWWWW!!!

Ha ha, this mother of two, who goes out to the bar maybe once every two-three months is far from a bar star!  (Not counting pubs as bars!  I’m known to go to the pubs a little more often for some wings and calamari!)  To answer your question though, it seems like the casino is the new warm up place.

Let’s go to the crest  :stuck_out_tongue:

OMG, Strawberry daqueries or however you spell it.

Oh Man, I hated Rain even more than The Crest… At least The Crest do some half decent food!

how could anybody hate the rain? That being said it was just a restaurant some body’s idea  or dream Ive seen it packed even a line up out side i think 3 or 4 employee’s, they bought and live in Rupert they spend money here ! hence they contributed to our week economy. Why don’t you slam the casino ? they take money away from Rupert lots of it big bags even, they employ more pepole but take money away from our local restaurants and bars! ever wonder who foots the bill for addicted gamers?

I’m in total agreement with you

I have issues with the Casino also and have only been in there once to pick up a very generous donation for an SPCA fundraiser but do they not have to give a certain percentage to local charities?  If so then, at least some money is going towards the most deserving in our town and not  just someones’ pockets.

People hate rain because…the food sucked and expensive…drinks were expesnive…and they served sooo many underaged kids not even funny…i was 17 when i was served in there… and you wonder why they kept getting their liquor licence taken away so often

I did not mind the food at Rain, but I do take exception to the faddish cocktails. (What the heck is an Apple Crantini??!!!) Give a decent, well-made G&T any day of the week.

your to Young to make a rational thread regarding hate against a business unless you have another agenda regarding the rain maybe a friend bought you the drink ? they noticed you a minor making a bad choice and kicked your sorry ass out.Feeling a little hurt party over just taking a stab in the dark here but why the( its going down ) user name?

crest sells the same drinks same price so wtf ?

good for the crest all I am saying is any business still in business is good for rupert

He got tired of the names Cashflow and the Choosenone.

Hows are these for reasons to dislike rain:

I was there 3 times each time the place had an aura of pretentiousness, the drinks were poorly made, the food was shit, the service was slow/incompetent and for what I got the bill was fairly high.

Not that the crest or anywhere else is much better.  Prince Rupert with a few exceptions has been home to the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had.

How very prejudice of you… 17 being too young to make a rational decision!? An underage person says a place was wrong BECAUSE it served them when underage… I’d say thats a damn rational explanation and a 17 year old that understands… Maybe I should say you cannot make a rational argument due to your appalling spelling and grammar? (NOTE: They said they were 17 when they were served in there, for all you know that was 2 years ago, so could be 19 now…Just pointing out!)

So, I’m mid thirties, from out of town, and the times I’ve been to Rain it sucked. The food was expensive, service was grouchy at best (Normally my accent at least wins me a few smiles!!), and there were far too many underage kids in there for my liking! And I do believe I’m old enough to make a rational judgement!
