Any suggestions on what is the best tool for checking/fixing Windows Registry errors? I’ve been using Registry Mechanic 4 but I’ve heard there’s better ones out there for Win2000 & XP.

Not sure if this will help you out at all, but here it goes: Run System File Checker. This is a program that not only checks for corrupted/missing files, but fixes them. Start SFC from the Start/Run command. Type in sfc /scannow (remember to put a space between the c and the forward slash). Be prepared to have your Windows XP disc handy. After the program finishes running, reboot your computer.
Please remember to back up all your important files. I had problems with my Kodak Easyshare software after i fixed all the problems. Turns out over 800 photos were deleted, but I had them backed up.
