I remember my grade 9 teacher making us do “elevator practice” when we were misbehaving: stand by the wall and just stare at it for 5 minutes.
Wonder what would happen today if a teacher did the same, no doubt some lawyer would be involved, a social worker and maybe a psychologist all to deal with the trauma of such an exercise…
Very true and people wonder why we have lots of problems within the schools?
I’ve used “elevator practice” successfully with students. No lawsuits yet.
i do the same thing as this but at the urinal 
MIG I meant as it the lawsuit issue no disrespect to the teachers and other staff. We are getting very americanized with lawsuits etc
