Speaking of E-Bay, true story:
I signed up the euro2004 lottery, and won the right to buy a bunch of tickets. Unfortunately, they were all teams I didn’t want to see, and I wasn’t going to be in Portugal on time to see the games. Nonetheless, it was stiff competition getting the tickets, so I bought them anyway.
I received them last night via courier, tooks a couple of photos and put them on E-Bay UK. Some of the matches were England and Switzerland, etc…
Well, apparently it’s illegal to sell football tickets in England. They took the auction off.
But not before a bunch of people e-mailed me.
I had my own private auction, and let’s just say that I ended up with a paypal payment equal to about 30 times the face value of the tickets.
Cha-ching.
Sent them off by courier today.
Nice.
