Rainforest Books is please to have author Pamela Proctor coming to do a book reading at our store. Pamela is a retired teacher and has written the book Honouring the Child:Changing Ways of Teaching. She will be at Rainforest Books doing a book reading and signing of her book on September 18, 2010 from 7-9pm. We will have coffee and tea after the reading!
Rainforest Books is going to be having an open house/Hoedown on September 25, 2010 from 7-9pm! So come on by dressed in your best cowboy/cowgirl gear and pop by!Don’t feel like dressing up, come on by anyways!! There will be music, coffee, tea and snacks and visiting! Come in and enter your name for a prize that will be drawn at the end of the evening!!!

There really is no special occasion!! It is just for fun!! Great way to have people come buy visit and look around! Plus a night out with a little entertainment!! Don’t worry!!! We will have a couple of “sheriffs” at the store to help make sure no one changes the radio station!!! Hope to see you all here!!!

With Fall and the Holiday Season fast approaching…Rainforest Books “Open House & Cowboy Hoedown” marks the beginning of our annual fund-raising activities that support the Wildlife Shelter here in Prince Rupert!!! We’ll be having games throughout the evening, and prizes for best dressed!!! We will also be offering coffee, tea and snacks to anyone wishing to join in the fun! With the wonderful response by the generous citizens of Prince Rupert last year…we’re excited to be a part of efforts to help “All Wild Creatures Great and Small!!” So come on down!! Bring a donation if you’re inspired!! All donations are gratefully accepted, whether it’s a cash donation or supplies such as pet food, medical supplies, litter, etc, please stop by the store anytime!!! Want more ideas?
