What food franchises would you like to see here?

If we’re going to get new franchises here. I’d like to see things that aren’t in Terrace. Burger king, Wendys, Arbys, quizznos. Something that might draw people IN to town. Like some of us go to terrace for Amburgers & Wootbeer.

Favorite Simpson’s line:
We’re so hungry we’ll even eat at Arby’s

What’s happening with the Milestones to be built at the old CN station on the waterfront? Ayjaye…?

It looks like the building will become a millstone!

I would like to see a Montana’s Steak house here . (Mile High Mud Pie is the best)

LOL@Milestones @ old train station. There are better odds of hitting the 649

I recently ate at a burger king. I watched them cook my whopper in a microwave

I thought they only built those where they were guaranteed lineups every night!
We’ve tried to go there every time we’ve hit the lower mainland and finally gave up. Olive Garden is hopeless too. I’ve yet to try either.
But I do have a new franchise you should check out if you’re down south. Nando’s Chicken. Portugese-African piri-piri style, very tasty, they marinate for 24 hours and you get a choice of spicy levels. Some are take-out, some are sit downs. Blows the doors off Church’s, Lee’s, Brownie’s. KFC.

I sooooo love Montanas!!! Wendy’s would be a great choice here! I always go there when I go to PG or Nanaimo.

wow…you seen them micro wave a supposed flame broiled burger? …i woulda snapped out.

i ate at a red lobsters in ontario last year. I was reluctant to actually go in it being from the RUPE…it was actually a great experience…really affordable…$20 dinner all you can eat shrimp…they had about 7 different styles…i ate 70 of the bad boys…it was really good…I highly recommend it…

im not joking. i was waiting at the till and i heard the familiar Beep Beep BEEEEEEEEEEEP of a microwave ending and the cook opened it, took out my burger and handed it to the cashier. That was my first time at a burger king and not impressed.

I have been away on vacation and have eaten and a few different new places. and i agree with Taco Del Mar. the food was great and the price, very reasonable. Also Red Robin is very good as well and would be a good fit at the old CN building, nice atmosphere and the burgers were superb

When they asked beef, pork or chicken? at Taco Del Mar, I answered it didn’t matter, it all looks like it leaked out of a diaper…

i wouldn’t mind an authentic mexican place. Taco franchises don’t count as authentic mexican. :stuck_out_tongue:

Maybe it’s just as well we don’t have some of these.

I had the same experience at Dairy Queen in Hope a couple months ago. They clearly grabbed a patty from somewhere (no where near the broiler), did the burger up, and warmed it up in the microwave. The kid had the dumbest look on his face when I asked what kind of new microwave they had that could char-broil a burger.

I want to see a JugoJuice, and a Quiznos please.

Funny, we went for Father’s Day lunch at the OOO restaurant in Hope. The patty didn’t taste or have the consistency of any other White Spot burger I’ve ever had and the bun must have come from the bakery at Coopers across the parking lot.
But that pales compared to the Dairy Queen in PG that served me a burger with a Shoppers Wholesale patty. Very easy to tell, every cafe in the Fort uses them and not one even bothers to add their own spices or sauce.
I thought there were standards with a franchise.

I would love to see a Montana’s or Applebees!! Maybe even a smoothie place!

burger king definitely.
short and clear
