Well
Its amazing how one event can seem so different from from a different perspective…

I was at the theater watching Charlie and the Chocolate Factory with my brother. At about 1:30, 5 minutes into the movie, it all stopped adn the lights went out. Everyone in the theater was pissed and wanted their money back. It was such an annoyance…but none of us knew that something so tragic had happened.

So to us the event was nothing but an itch on our backs, but to the person’s family it was the loss of a major part of their lives.
So did you get your money back? free popcorn?

Youre an idiot!!

Prayer works. It has been scientifically proven.

No it hasn’t. In fact, a recent study published in The Lancet medical journal disproved that long-distance prayer did not have a significant effect on patients’ recovery. From medpagestoday.com:

As for soneone praying for themselves or someone who knows that somoeone is praying for them, it’s most likely a placebo effect.

see medpagetoday.com/Cardiology/ … gy/tb/1362 for the entire article.

shake shake that ass bitch, and lets see what you got.

I believe prayers have to be truly meant in order to have any effect at all.

prayer is fine and dandy, but blessing…now blessing! blessing is where its at.

I donno prayer works for me with little things like when im hiding ill say a

hail marry and what not and even thought the person bumps into me they

wont notice its werid.

or it could be that i play with deaf dumb and blind people alot.

but serious for a second it works for me

I’m not saying that prayer is a bad thing. If it works for you, go ahead and do it. I’m simply saying that there is no scientific evidence that it helps cure disease.

Well, regardless of that, you’re all still invited to attend my prayer circle. This week we’ll be discussing Christianity: The New Wonder Drug? and we’ll be reviewing the minutes from last week’s Gays on Parade.

Come on down to 612 Warf Avenue…

This really is pathetic having such a discussion in this forum. If you want to talk prayer and religion start a new topic. The poor guy that died does have family in town and Im sure they would be horrified to see this forum and how much it has strayed off of their tragedy.

And that is what splitting topics is for

Forget I said it. I was looking at the wrong topic. OOPS!! Sorry…carry on  Is my face red??

hahaha I’m so glad someone was there to witness my one and only bright and shining math moment.

But I didn’t split the topic… I was just the first to notice.

God: An invisible friend for adults.

One of my favourite t-shirt sayings - “My invisible friend thinks you have serious issues!”

Check out apatheticagnostic.com for some very interesting insights into religion. If nothing else, it will force you to question your beliefs.

you guys remember that hitler was a christian, right.
