Environment Canada has issued a Wind warning for the North Coast and Haida Gwaii for the overnight period and for most of Wednesday, part of a string of weather warnings issued for British Columbia on Tuesday.
Greater Victoria felt the full effects of those warnings on Monday, with trees downed and power outages reported in a variety of locations.
For the North Coast the winds will develop north of a low that is stationed just north of Vancouver Island, providing for a northeasterly wind of between 80 to 100 kilometres overnight for both Haida Gwaii and the North coast coastal areas.
