I would say Calgary is the Canadian team out of the two listed because its fan base is Canadian and the revenue that the Calgary Flames creates comes mainly from Canadians. However, it’s likely that players on both teams are paid in US dollars, so I don’t think this issue is totally black and white.

To further cloud things, the Lightning was founded and started by a Canadian hockey legend.
The Flames were started by Americans.
Calgary is in Canada. Tampa Bay is in the United States.
Calgary starts with a C, as does Canada.
Those Sutter boys are all Albertan.
You can skew the issue either way by using any arbitrary criteria you want.
There are more Canadians in Tampa Bay than there are in Calgary. Those guys in Calgary are all Texans.

yeah they used to be the Atlantis Flames, but it sank. So they moved to Calgary because it’s far away from the ocean.
