Sun Wave receivables taken off the books of Port Ed finances

The District of Port Edward received and approved their 2010 Financial Statements at the May 9 meeting, and auditor Alan K. Hooper told council that the receivable from Sun Wave Forest Products is no longer being considered when it comes to the district’s finances.

hmm I did not recall seeing an auditor at PR council meetings. Did I miss that? With the tax increase, wonder if PR council showed on the books the Mill Sale and revenue that is to be generating into the funds vs raising taxes? I also did not see where the legal fees on the expense account, did I miss that too?

I am happy for Pt Ed, they get the true financial facts. Perhaps PR can learn something?
