Soldier with possible Rupert connections is the latest military casualty

For some in Prince Rupert, the war in Afghanistan may have hit a little closer to home today, as the Department of Defence announced the death of Lieutenant Andrew Richard Nuttall, who was killed in the line of duty on Wednesday.

Some media reports have advised that Lt. Nuttall had connections with the Prince Rupert area, though the timeline of that connection is not reported in detail, his family now lives in Victoria and he attended university in that city, prior to his enlistment with the Canadian Army and his attachment to the Princess Patricia Canadian Light Infantry Regiment based out of Edmonton…
