My bell i phone sim card has failed, question is can i go to citywest and by a bell sim card from them? would they still give me one cause i am not with them.
doubt that
if you bought a big mac and it was bad would you go to a&w and replace it with a teen burger?
Iphone are GSM or HSPA, Citywest is CDMA - therefore they wouldn’t even have a SIM card for you. I would suggest calling your provider, Rogers or Telus.
Does Citywest have HSPA phones yet? If not, they might not have any SIM either. Even if they did, they might not be able to replace Bell ones, since they seem to only be doing CDMA stuff through Northwestel.
What is the problem with your SIM?
My iphone would not work today it said invalid sim card. I reset it on itunes but it did not work. I got a friend down south who is shipping me up a new bell sim card on monday. The source is going to dump rogers and sell bell this spring.
Strange thing is this one was not even two months old.
Dumb question, but did you try taking the card out and putting it back in again?
2 months old? did you call your cell phone provider to see if it would be replaced under warranty
It’s true that The Source is jumping on the Bell train, but the Rupert source won’t be one of them.
I called the source before if they had the sim cards, and the guy said they will be selling the bells phones this spring.

Somebody just has to clue them in to request Port Edward numbers. Just like 7-11 wasn’t selling phones until someone e-mailed them and told them to just send them with Port Edward numbers.
I was told by 2 Source employees that Rupert is being left in the dust and won’t be one of the Bell stores.

Did they tell you why?
You could always drive to Terrace and get a Bell or Telus phone with a Port Edward number, I guess. Or order one online.
Is there not a bell tower up mt hays? My friend is up here from van and her telus phone wont work here at all!
It’s the Bell / Telus HSPA network, I think. What kind of phone does your friend have? I know a couple of people in Rupert who have Telus phones with Port Edward numbers. Area Code 778-884-something-something
CityWest sells the Samsung Omnia and it is a HSPA type smartphone.
she has just has a regular pay as you go phone no sim card, I have i phone 3gs some times it does not pick up coverage. My old rogers phones always stayed connected when i was with them.
