Hi Mig, The document was the memo from Doug Jay to Mr Howie that I posted here and you were kind enough to ocr for us all.
The Mayor and council’s revelation that they apparently did not receive this document nor can they find any record in their records is interesting but doesn’t change the facts of this issue. While good theatre on the part of Cote and Pond, there are ways to show how and where this document originated and we hope that we do not have to force this issue as well.
The contracts were improperly let, information was witheld from the public and the community charter was breached. It’s not like the Mayor and most of the council members are newbies when it comes to the workings of city hall and other public bodies. If anyone that has served one term on city council can’t remember the correct process for tendering contracts …or their responsibilities as Mayor and Council under the Community Charter, they’ve had one hell of a long nap at our expense!
