Heard a helicopter flying over the city last night, then saw this plane at the airport today:
Was there a Search and Rescue operation around Rupert last night?

I’m not sure what they were doing here but I definitely heard that thing last night. Was very loud, louder than the medevac for sure.
The photos are of a Buffalo from 442 Squadron from CFB Comox. You can see the squadron’s logo on the tail.
The same squadron also operates Cormorant helicopters, which is what I assume was making all the noise last night.
Thursday Night the guys were going in and out of the hangers with big antena and headphones doing a sweep by the looks of it…
