There is also Nechako North Coast somewhere around the Terrace area too…
Whoever takes over from O’Briens at 56k out the highway are horrible and should be fined rather than receive a bonus any time there is a snowfall or freezing temperatures. I have driven to Terrace many times when the road turns to absolute SHIT at 56 km.
We live in the north. You should expect some brutal driving conditions ON OCCASION .I’ve been skiing at shames a ton over the years. When these conditions exist, it’s usually for a relatively short duration(12-16hrs).Speed kills,so keep the speed to 70-80kms.Look at the camera at Kasiks on BC drive web site. When in doubt, delay your trip 'till the next day, that usually gives enough time for the maintenance crews to sort things out. This may be an inconvenience, but, like i say…NORTH COAST.
