The Rotary and Rupert Runners Running Club have joined to promote these two great events scheduled for New Years Day, January 1, 2012. Starting at 12 noon there is a 5 km fun run or walk with prizes to best costumes. Join in on the fun, run/walk begins in front of the fish plant at the bottom of Drydock Road on George Hills Way. The prizes will be a cash donation to a local charity.
The Polar Bear swim starts at 1:00 PM at Rushbrook Floats. There will be hot chocolate and hot dogs for all participants.
So go for a walk or run and then cool off by going in for a quick swim. Both events are free.
