the lan sounds interesting…is there an age limit? spectators allowed?

wow I must be a geek

Athlon 3800+ X2 w/Opteron Heatpipe Cooler
OCZ 2x1024 PC3200 EL 2-3-2-5 Dual Channel kit
Sapphire GTO² 256MB Unlocked to 16pipes and OC’d to 510Core/570Mem
Western Digital Raptor 36GB
ASUS A8N-E
Soundblaster Audigy2 ZS
Antec Truepower 2.0 450Watt PSU
Antec Performance 1088AMG Chassis w/Plusview Door
White CCFL’s

the heatsink was easy enought to install… you have to remove the the motherboard though to mount the faceplate on the backside.  My Idle temps are 28-30C, and full load it runs at 38C My htt is set to 600mhz… and my ram is set to 5:6 or 166 when ht is at stock 1ghz.  I found I couldnt overclock this motherboard past 2.2 until I changed the bios to the latest beta in which they loosened up ALOT of the hidden ram timings.  I also changed out my old 450W for a 550W… since that 7800gt chews up alot of juice that the cpu needs for overclocking.

Im running the 84.21 drivers for my video card and with NVtweak it has a nice autooverclocking feature that keeps your video card at the optimal max temp… I’ve seen my card reach 560mhz core, and 1.28ghz DDR3 with the autooverclocker, and it was running at a nice healthy 52C… not bad eVGA…esspecially with the 20 pipes

Sure… I could read and understand the thread before, but now you guys are all talking Swahili or something!

Hyperthreaded P4 2.6 GHz

Soundblaster Audigy EX-PT
Seagate Barracuda 120GB
Generic NCIX special case, chassis, and 350W PSU

MeepMeepZoom: Why only a 36GB drive? Like, I’m hoping that you’re about to tell me that your other computer has like a 500 gig RAID array or something

Oh I bet these days I could outgeek eso.

doesnt the motherboard have a max of 400 for the htt? or did you lower ur multiplier to 4.5 lol, also did you have to up your vcore at all?

im thinking about getting the cnps9500 myself, do you think its worth the extra 20 or so bucks?

The Hyper Transport is standard at 1ghz… the HTT(FSB) is at 300X9
The V7700cU cools better than the 9500 at full speed… but the 9500 is quieter at full speed… so I guess its a matter of how quiet you want your computer.

my comp sucks … i’ll go to that lan in oct tho.
