The U.S. Air Force base in Yokota has a radio station (Eagle 810) that you can pick up all around the Kanto (Tokyo) area.  Once in a while, their resident Japanese announcer comes on with a little blurb called “an Eagle eight-Zen”.  A couple of gems include:

  • Eagles may soar, but weasels don’t get sucked into jet engines.
  • Have you ever noticed that the roman numeral for 40 is XL?
