The Prince Rupert Port Authority is projecting a decline in total tonnage to the end of 2009 as the world economy continues to experience challenges, but are projecting a slight increase in tonnage handled at Fairview Terminal as the facility continues to meet or exceed efficiency expectations.
“We handled 10.4 million tonnes in 2007, in 2008 we had a very modest increase to 10.6 million tonnes and in 2009 we are projecting just over nine million tonnes in the year,â€
