As far as I know Canpotex has not committed to building the potash terminal. Looks like changes in Russia are likely to lead to lower prices for potash worldwide. Does this put the Prince Rupert terminal development in jeopardy? Or does Canpotex try to compete for market share?
This is probably the end of Canpotex coming to Rupert. They aren’t going to put millions into development when they won’t get a return profit on their investment. The last I heard was the price of potash today was down almost 25%.
