Potash port for Rupert

PRINCE RUPERT is to benefit from the burgeoning world-wide demand for fertilizer thanks to plans to construct a potash export terminal on Ridley Island.

The construction by Canpotex Ltd., the export company owned by Saskatchewan’s three potash miners, and an expansion of an existing terminal in Vancouver will add approximately 11 million tonnes of export capacity to the company’s existing 12 million tonnes by the end of 2012.

The combined cost of these projects is expected to be in excess of $500 million.

Any more details on this?  The press release calls it a “greenspace” project, which usually means they’re going to build something new.
