The District of Port Edward took a big step toward the realization of a new school in the community on Tuesday evening, awarding the contract for the construction of the building.
While it is great this school is being built, Its a shame the 2 million dollar contract is going to a company in Kelowna, instead of one from Prince Rupert/Port Edward Area.

Nine times out of ten when a company receives a contract its parent company is located in another province. Provides a financial edge. Probably the same people who did the Source’s FAB makeover - that Kelowna company was a subsidiary shell of a parent company in Alberta.
