Peter Witherly passed away peacefully Friday night after a brief struggle with pancreatic cancer. He was a former colleague of mine. Peter was an energetic Band Teacher and an enthusiastic driving force of the Prince Rupert music scene. He will be missed.
Sad to hear of his passing. He will be missed.
He’s left quite a legacy in Prince Rupert.

I had the pleasure of being a student of his in the mid eighties and my son (who currently plays with the the Community Band) was a recent student as well.
Mr Witherly has left his musical influence on 2 generations of our family.
Rest easy Peter, your beat goes on.
