In an interesting turn of events today, Canadian Para-Olympians commented on the recent protests that took place prior and during the 2010 Vancouver Olympics.
Para-Olympians, having not heard of any pending protests of the 2010 Vancouver Para-Olympic Games that are set to begin later this week, were wondering why they do not rank equal treatment. Are protesters attempting to be too politically correct by skirting the Para-Olympic Games or is this a more demonstrative display of discrimination?
It would appear that these Olympians are suggesting that protesters better prepare to recognize all persons equally regardless of physical abilities, sex, race, or colour etc…
Quite a conundrum for Olympic protesters to say the least
