Pacific Northwest LNG reveals job numbers

The Pacific Northwest LNG terminal slated for Lelu Island, is filing its environmental assessments with BC and the Federal government in the next two weeks and revealed that the terminal will provide 4000 construction jobs over a 4 year build out stage and 330 full-time operation jobs once the terminal is completed. Petronas will make a final investment decision in late 2014 and if it proceeds, construction will begin in 2015.

Those are pretty amazing job numbers…330 jobs is more than Prince Rupert Grain and Ridley Terminals combined…and that is just direct jobs. There is another few hundred spin-off jobs expected with this terminal as well.
