Hey everyone! Just curious what the pay is for nurses up there, and what jobs are available for a nurse besides the hospital. One more thing…do you know if Americans have to retake the exam if they have their nursing license in America already. Thanks!
I am thinking that RNs start around $35 or so an hour. I think that also depends on experience. The majority of nurses work in the hospital, then there is community nursing. They are opening a new campus of care home for elders in December. There are lots of jobs here in the hospital for nurses and lots of opportunity for overtime.
I know that anyone who comes from outside Canada has to take the Canadian RN exam to get a license to work here.
