In fairness to the Isles, Chara had done virtually nothing with the Isles in his four-plus seasons, especially on the offensive end. I know he’s valued greatly for his huge presence and defense but it’s his ability to score and set up plays that have made him into an elite defenseman.
As far as who they should pick - you gotta go with the scoring wiz, who’ll put more bums in seats!
