yeah, you’re right.  I only use a couple programs that aren’t too big, and mainly the call of duty games, I figured I didn’t need too much space, i’ll put off the ssd until next month and check out the prices then. 

maybe i’ll get buying a new case out of the way first those obsidians are really nice and still one of the top picks for me.

Don’t buy a case till you have planned out how you are going to lay out your water cooling and the equipment you will use for it This will save you alot of hair pulling when you are building your custom computer.

Thanks, i’ll keep that in mind, and just bank what I can and make one purchase later this year then.  I’m happy with the PC as it is now but i’ll be making some new upgrades for sure.

Ok so I did a couple different tests and here are the results…

3.4ghz:

3DMark06 - 15,923 - Temps - cpu 31c, gpu 33c

3DMark Vantage - on Performance 10,030 - Temps cpu 31c - gpu 37c

4.0ghz:

3DMark06 - 16,776 - Temps cpu 35c - gpu 37c

3DMark Vantage - Performance 10,361 - Temps cpu 30c - 37c

I used convertx2dvd to convert a 700mb .avi file to check the times.

3.4ghz - it took 14 minutes to convert, 20 minutes total with burning and finalizing

4.0ghz - it took 8 minutes to convert, 15 minutes total with burning and finalizing.

if you know of any other tests you’d like to see, or benchmarks let me know.  i’ll try to get them if I don’t already have the programs.  thanks.
