Got mine at The Source for under 200$ locally. 19inch wide screen, very nice screen.

Most LCDs with a VGA input won’t have speakers in or on the monitor, so keep that in mind. By gaming system I assume you mean a 360.
Hows that work, vga to gaming system, most gaming systems use hdmi component or composite.
Why do you want a slow computer monitor for gaming system ?
Most do use hdmi, but all support vga.
Costco has some Acer 19" Wides for $179. Haven’t seen anything cheaper from any wholesalers lately.
