The newly installed Green Gym at the Civic Centre is proving to be a rather popular spot, if the first week of unofficial use is any indication.
However, it would seem that the participation rate between dedicated athletes and young kids looking for a playground seems to be weighted in favour of the kids…

Good for the kids that are making disproportionate use of the outdoor gym/playground, considering that unlike civic employees and mounties they do not have free passes to use the indoor facilities.

Well I think they’re sending a message to the city (all be it unknowingly) the simple fact is that this is probably the first new outdoor anything for anyone in a while, so if the kids end up using it for a playground, then perhaps the city could think about getting back to providing some things for them…
