Mill deal gets court approval

The B.C. Supreme Court has officially accepted the offer from both Coast Tsimshian Resources and the China Paper Group (CPG) for various pieces of the former New Skeena Forest Products.

Yesterday, Justice Donald Brenner finally approved the transfer of the Terrace tree farm licence and Tree Farm Licence 1 to Coast Tsimshian Resources, the company owned by the Lax Kw’alaams band, for more than $4 million, as well as approving the proposed offer by the China Paper Group to purchase the Watson Island, Carnaby and Hazelton land as well as the Carnaby Forest Licence for $3.3 million.
