Monday marked the end of an era in Prince Rupert as operations at JS McMillan’s fish processing plant ceased for good just days after the final ship to offload at the facility pulled away from the dock.
a couple of long time Mcmillan workers are miffed…and they should be…there was no thankyou’s, gratitude party…not even a small gratitude bonus… stick it up your ass McMillan, all those people kept you afloat for a long time!!!
Have to wonder how long before Councillor Thorkelson calls for the city to purchase and operate the reduction plant?
Interesting that the local fish companies (oops company now I guess) doeesn’t seem to want to invest in such an enterprise
