Learn to Run-Couch to 10k in 13 Weeks

The Rupert Runners Running Club is once again providing a Learn to Run Program starting Feb. 7, 2012.

The 13 week program begins at CHSS track for about 5-6 weeks then runners take to the road and trails around Prince Rupert. It is for beginners or those who just want to get back into shape. It is strongly advised that you talk to your doctor when starting any fitness program. For the 13 weeks, we follow the same program as they use for the 10k Sun Run held each year in Vancouver.

The cost is $25 each and is primarily an adult training program. You must be 16 of years of age and willing to sign a liability waiver.

For more details, there will info sessions at Cowpuccinos on Tues. Jan 24, 2012 at 7:00pm and again on Sat. Jan. 28th at 9:30 pm. You can register at the info sessions. Cash or cheque made out to Rupert Runners. Fee includes membership into the Rupert Runners Running Club. Last year we had 82 people sign up. This year we must limit the registration to the first 60 runners so please try to register early. If we have space available, you can register at 5:00 pm on the first day, (Feb. 7/12)
