Heavy rainfall raises alerts further inland

The current onshore flow passing over Prince Rupert has raised concerns further inland regarding rivers and streams that feed into the Skeena and Nass Rivers.

The BC Environment Rivers Forecast Centre has issued a high streamflow advisory for the North Coast, with particular attention being paid to the Kitimat, Kitsumkalum (Dutch Valley), and Bear (Stewart) rivers, and other smaller tributaries of the Nass and lower Skeena rivers.
