Hope yours went well. I think next year I’ll make a point of not being in town. Last year my Xmas dinner kind of went dead when afterwards I discovered I was the only one not a QAnon believer and anti-vaxxer.
This year I did up a lovely $85 Prime Rib and Ms. Flakey saw it was rare at the center (perfectly), insisted it “wasn’t cooked” and refused to eat any. Made gagging noises at anyone who did eat anything vaguely pink.
Offered Spumoni ice cream and Gulabjamun for dessert and no one ate ‘that foreign stuff’ at Christmas. Being half Italian, Xmas is when you eat spumoni FFS. And they would’ve gobbled down goddam TimBits.
Doggie and I lived on the leftover roast. And gulabs are so rich I’m knocking them off 2 per day.
If it’s snowy next year, I’ll prepare with a HungryMan Turkey dinner in the freezer, a bone for my dog and tell everyone I’m going to my sister’s over the holiday…
