There’s a children’s TV show on NHK, whose name roughly translates to “Pythagoraswitch” that shows these really cool Rube Goldberg devices as interludes. (A Rube Goldberg device is simply a really complicated way to do a simple task, usually involving rolling balls hitting other objects, causing them to do things, i.e. the old board game Mouse Trap.)
