Conservatives swept from office in Alberta
The Progressive Conservative grip on Alberta is over.

The New Democrats, led by Rachel Notley, upended the PC dynasty on Tuesday evening in a snap election, effectively ending four decades of Tory rule. The Tories have ruled Alberta for 43 years with majority governments. Forty-four seats are needed for a majority.
PCs lose four-decade hold on the Albertan electorate

Heh-heh, I’m guessing that Conservatives across Canada are waking up and wondering what the hell happened yesterday.

Would seem that Petro Canada is taking the news of the new NDP gov’t hard.

Yeah, business on occasion quakes when the commies take over. I suspect that things will settle down shortly.
It will be interesting to see if this decisive win in Alberta is a sign of things to come in October or a one off.

Proposed corporate tax rate under the NDP = 12%. Socialists!

Corporate tax rate under Ralph Klein = 15%. Guess Ralph Klein was a Communist!
