The Lax Kw’alaams and Metlakatla bands announced today a joint venture that will see the creation of Coast Tsimshian Marine Services LP, a joint venture company that comes following an agreement with Island Tug and Barge Ltd. of Vancouver.
It will be interesting to see what kind of tugs show up and what services they will provide that are not here already.I fear once again,much the same as what has happened with water taxi services,it will be at the expense of existing business,next step,longshoreing ?Stay tuned!
