I bought a couple of the Vinyl Cafe books. When I read them I had to impose Stewart McLean’s voice in my head to make the stories more enjoyable.
I also like listening to Bunny Watson with that Richardson guy who used to do the Roundup.
Mclean is pretty damn good. I’m hard pressed to find another national figure who can talk on the fly like he does. Amazing.

Lorne Elliott is funnier.
Yeah, but it’s a different kind of humour. I enjoy them both, but McLean seems to present with a gentler side. I relate to his stories; the characters do things I have done or can see myself doing.
