TransCanada and BG Group have decided to re-route their proposed LNG pipeline out of the Khutzeymateen grizzly bear sanctuary near Prince Rupert.
Instead, TransCanada will focus on a sub-marine route for its LNG line, one that is more costly than the original Khutzemateen route.
So far TransCanada has added an additional 100Km of pipeline to its original plan in order to avoid areas that were of concern to local stakeholders.
