Can someone explain how starting 10,000 extra services and processes ‘makes my computer run better’?

Your computer MUST be more secure, there’s a splash screen that says so when you boot SP2.
And if Microsoft says that SP2 makes your computer secure, then dammit, it is:

So why does it ask DO YOU AGREE TO THE TERMS, and ARE YOU SURE YOU WISH TO INSTALL? In case you were just messing around?
DO NOT INSTALL SP2. Your gonna f*&^ some stuff up.

Yeah, money to get your pc fixed after you install sp2. Soooooooo please do not. Or in a few weeks your are going to say “Sorry, you were right, next time I will take your advice!”
In this week’s flyer Dell has computers form $349. Staples has Windows XP home for $299. Must be a really good computer!
