For those who were wondering, the boat in the picture is the Ross Revenge which was used as a floating pirate radio station. It was floating in international waters off the coast of the UK and, since it wasn’t under the british jurisdiction, it could broadcast pretty much anything. This boat is moored at the Tilbury docks near London.

This inspired the movie Pirate Radio
